Pronounced ‘wee’, and fêted as the only video game that turns out fitness fanatics rather than couch potatoes, the latest Nintendo gaming console is starting to enter Nairobi homes. Although officially launched in 2006, Nairobi has barely noticed until now the Wii craze that has infiltrated the sitting rooms of the first world. Since Toyworld started importing the game into Kenya in the middle of last year, they have sold some 45 consoles, says Harish Gadher, Manager of the ABC branch.
